Arabic is kicking my ass.
the problem is
1) i don't know english grammer for shit (thanks leggett elem.)
2) 85% of my class at least as arabic backround, about 40% already speak a dialect, and probably 50% already knew the alphabet prior to the class.
and i've never even had hummas.
I hate feeling like the idiot child. |

my arabic book really weirds me out and i'm a little intimidated with the backward page thing.
things at the house could be better.
why is it that the best years of your life (if you believe them to be post-highschool pre-middle age) are also the ones filled with the most stress, pain and heartache?
i got a job at the english dept.
too bad i'm not an english major.
or any major really.
classes this semester:
ballett 101, history 372-women in europe, economics 101, spanish 232, arabic 101, and hopefully a class on shakespeare. |

i have just spent the last six hours setting up my mothers ipod. i have imported more boston,dixie chicks and backstreet boys then i care to mention.
i took the gang to the a2 art festival on wednesday, went outlet shopping with my mother on thursday, and celebrated emily's b-day on friday. Tilly walked around a2 with a decorated paper bag she made at a kids arts and crafts table on her head. and she found a creepy doll on a streetsign in an alley that she carried around. she looked like a crazy homeless women. seriously, a reporter took her picture.
Poor Marguerite was at the very least entertained by my friends
i'm happy em is back....again.
and she likes the present i got her, i knew she would. i got her chocolate and shoes for goodness sakes :)
(totally random and unrelated)
i'm trying to figure out why the two of us, as friends, are so awkward around each other
and why i seem to be toying with an idea in my head so much
and i'm worried i'm encouraging something i don't want.
knowing me this is all in my head anyways. |

I currently have no plan or idea what i am doing with my life anymore
-old men are creepy
-i wish my friends would call me more
-my step dad seriously has a menstrual cycle
-i am not rich, despite what people think. My parents are not rich, and even if they were, i get nothing from them. (well, beyond tuition and a place to stay during the summer)
-i am not going to apologize for getting in and going to college. and for those who wanna put be down for it....i feel sorry for you.
-There are days when i'm okay with spinsterhood and days where i'm not.
-My name is Megan, not 'Emily's cousin Megan'
-I'm not particularly one of those people that 'shine'
-I'm sick of clothes that do not fit me. And what is with this style that all the shirts are longer then normal? seriously. Fashion industry, you are killing me here.
-Race does NOT effect anything to do with ignorance or intelligence....in fact, you are ignorant and stupid if you honestly believe half the things you say....let alone believe those things about me.
-people are alot of talk and no action
-my best friend has a new best friend
-Things change
-IKEA really isn't worth the crowds |

at work. waiting for the clock to hit five.
went to motts orchestra concert last night to see My and my violin rockin it out. Basically ashley and i spent a majority of the time mocking anybody wearing anything close to black velvet.
......and yep, that would be it.
oh, exept that i found out that i share by birthday with pope benedict xvi....creepy. |

sometimes when i'm walking into the court house every morning with my pink couch purse and my black kenneth cole pumps perfectly matching my meticulously assembled outfit pieced together from the gap and and various other high end stores with my hair full of product and man-made curls i wonder about myself. and i begin to worry.
(yeah, it isn't like i actually paid full price or even close to it on any of the above items)
and a customer said i looked like jennifer aniston today. |

I love that the whole idea of prom still manages to suck when it isn't mine and i'm not going.
eh screw it. i've got amanda's birthday/alturnative prom
its raining. and therefor i am happy.
i am a horrible and bitter person.

Well, fist day to summer #3 at the clerks office...or rather, vitals this time around (which is literally in the same room as the clerks. I hate first days, there is always so much training (because every year they like to temp me for somebody out on leave/retirement so i get a new job) and training just makes me feel like an idiot most of the time.
i love this new gig though. Here is basically the run down of what i do. birth and death certificates, marriage licenses, assumed names (business registration) certified copies, petitions for firearms, filling out bills, phones and dealing with people all day long as i am at the front counter.....yes folks, I, yes me, have to bascially converse with people all day long. I actually had to get sworn in today so that i could sign all of the certificates and such. Oh, and apparently i'm also supposed to babysit Ruth Johnson's office every now and again...seeing as how her secretary spent alot of time teaching me how to answer phones and transfer calls.
okay yes, i know none of you really care about any or that.
and tomorrow is my second day and i'm only working til noon...i am awesome.
i have to be in A2 by three to take possession of our house.

Today at exactly 12:03 I completed my first year of college.
wow.
for those of you whe betted against it...HA!
there was good, there was bad....but mostly there was good
....I'd like to thank the entire AnthroBio 161 staff for not only double booking and giving us all the wrong exam location, but not bothering to tell or or shoot us an email about it. Thanks guys. We really enjoyed trying to figure out where OUR exam was from the Polisci student intructers and having to fantically scamper across campus in a panic.
i really have no desire to leave A2, i love it. luckily i have a house, and can visit this summer when i want to. I don't miss Waterford. I miss people in Waterford, but not Waterford.

the Fall 2006 registration gods hate me.
...parents are pissed that i signed up for Arabic 101.
i have some amazing friends who seriously tricked me into celebrating last night. They snuck gifts into Mongolian BBQ and everything. Thanks to them, my Thursday was way better then how it started....which, needless to say, i pouted through.
I have a paper due monday. boo
